Make your genogram template
A genogram is a family tree that helps you see the patterns, stories and relationships that have shaped you. Answer a few questions and we'll draw a blank chart that fits your family, ready to print.

How to fill it in
- Write a name, or just initials, in each box. Leave a box empty if you don't know. Gaps are okay.
- Use the key to show how people are related and what you know about them.
- Then look at the whole chart and notice what you see. Are there patterns? What were the unspoken rules in your family? How did your family handle conflict, money, work or emotions?
When you've filled it in, consider sharing it with someone you trust.
The full genogram, with gentle questions and reflection, is part of Guided Apprenticeship.
