Terms of use

Effective October 29, 2026

Welcome. These terms are the simple ground rules for using The Intentional Dad website and the Guided Apprenticeship app. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

Who we are

The Intentional Dad Non-Profit, Inc. (“The Intentional Dad”, “we”, “us”) is a Michigan nonprofit and a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. You can reach us by email at aric@theintentionaldad.org.

What we offer

We offer teaching, resources, workshops, a podcast, coaching and the Guided Apprenticeship app to help fathers and families walk with Jesus. Everything here is offered as discipleship and encouragement.

Pastoral, not clinical

Coaching and pastoral counseling with Aric are pastoral, not clinical. Aric is not a licensed clinical counselor, and nothing on this website or in the app is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If what you’re facing needs medical or clinical care, please see a qualified professional.

If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911. Coaching, the app and our messages are not emergency care.

Ambassadors and community

Ambassadors are people from our community who share the journey of apprenticeship with Jesus alongside others. They are not coaches or counselors.

In the app’s Community and in messages with ambassadors, please:

  • be kind, honest and respectful;
  • share only what you’re comfortable sharing, and don’t share anyone else’s private details, including your children’s names, ages or other family details;
  • don’t harass, threaten, spam or sell to anyone;
  • report anything that worries you. Reported conversations are kept for safety review.

We may remove content, or pause or close an account, to keep the community safe.

Your account

The app is for adults (18 and over). You sign in with an emailed link, so please keep your email account secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app (My Profile, then Account & privacy, then Delete my account).

Your words and our content

What you write in the app is yours. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle it, including our promise about your reflections.

The teaching, writing, audio, video, images and other content on this website and in the app belong to The Intentional Dad Non-Profit, Inc. or are used with permission. You’re welcome to use them for your own life, family and small group. Please don’t copy, sell or republish them without asking us first.

Gifts

Gifts are voluntary and are made through Zeffy, which sends your confirmation and, where it applies, your tax receipt. Thank you for supporting this ministry.

Coaching bookings and payments

Coaching times are booked through Calendly, and paid sessions are paid through Stripe when you book. Coaching sessions are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, use the link in your confirmation or reminder email. Calendly, Stripe and Zeffy have their own terms, which apply when you use them.

Messages

We’re glad to hear from you, though we can’t promise to reply to every message.

We link to other sites and services, such as YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Acast. We aren’t responsible for their content or how they work.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep the website and app helpful and running well, but we can’t promise they’ll always be available or free of mistakes. They’re offered as they are. As far as the law allows, The Intentional Dad isn’t responsible for losses that come from using them.

Michigan law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.

Changes

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
